This page explains, in plain language, what we check before and during your use of the platform and why. Because our customers are businesses, our main checks are on the business, with identity checks on the people who represent and own it.

1. Why we verify. Knowing who our customers are before they transact is essential to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing. Verification follows the customer due diligence standards set out in §§ 10 to 14 of the German Anti-Money Laundering Act (Geldwäschegesetz , GwG), applied through our regulated Partners.

2. What we collect. Your company’s registration details, its address and evidence that it is genuinely trading; the identity of the people authorised to act for it; the identity of its beneficial owners, meaning the people who ultimately own or control it; and identity documents to confirm those people.

3. When we check. We verify before you can transact. We may check again during the relationship, when your circumstances change, or when a review is due.

4. Who carries out the checks. Onboarding and identity verification are performed by our regulated Partners in accordance with their own KYC/KYB and AML obligations, to a regulated standard. We receive the outcome of those checks.

5. If you do not provide the information. If your business or its owners cannot be verified, we cannot onboard you and we may suspend or close an existing account. The law may prevent us from explaining the reason in full.

6. Your data. How we handle this data, how long we keep it and your rights are set out in our Privacy Policy.
